Scott is a writer, creative director, and agency principal who first and foremost is a problem solver. Through his career he has launched businesses, revitalized brands, and helped successful organizations become even more successful. Scott started out at Ketchum Advertising/LA, where he helped introduce Acura in the U.S. He then spent seven years at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners as a writer and associate creative director before starting his own San Francisco-based agency, which he has run for 20+ years. In addition to his agency responsibilities, Scott is currently serving as executive creative director at Palo Alto Networks, a global cybersecurity leader. Scott’s experience includes marketing campaigns and/or brand development for companies including Apple, LinkedIn, Nike, HP, Dignity Health, ABC, Genentech, Mozilla Firefox, First Republic Bank, and Toyota. Along the way his work has been recognized by every major national and international advertising competition, including gold from the One Show, Cannes, and Clios, honors from CA and D&AD, and gold, silver and bronze EFFIES for marketing effectiveness.
